The cleanse is also referred to as the Lemonade Detox Master Cleanse.
Ingredients:
1/2 Organic Lemon ($ .50)
2 Tablespoons Organic Pure Maple Syrup ($8.99)
10 Ounces Boiling Filtered Water
Dash of Cayenne Pepper ($3.00)
Prep Time:
5 minutes
Directions:
Add half of a bottle of boiling water (make sure you have a cup that won't crack under heat!) and then squeeze lemon juices completely out of the lemon. Add maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Add the rest of the water now. Drink once in a.m. and p.m. Let mildly cool but enjoy warm. Yes it is a good tasting cleanse!
Cleanse Level:
Beginner
Seven Day Diet:
This is the other important part. In this diet you will need to eat healthy and do mild workouts at least three times a week for results. Even if you only have time to stretch and burn calories walking around at work, you need to do those things. You won't regret it! I drank good amounts of water but didn't overindulge. I ate small portions of fruits, vegetables, nuts (handful as a snack), noodles, rice, and smoothies with super-food Canah (not sold in the U.S.) four times a day. I consumed under the recommended amount of dairy which is normal for me and I ate mostly organic foods.
While doing this cleanse I ate sweets a couple of times which I think is natural, acceptable, and okay. Don't feel bad for having ice cream a couple times or a cookie here and there. This cleanse isn't about self sacrifice and focused on life reversal. It is about becoming aware of digestion and about feeling the bad cycle out while the good cycles in. Also it is about winding down and relaxing.
Day 1:
I learned the hard way you really only need a shake to a shake and a half of cayenne pepper in the cleanse. The pepper does not mix into the hot water and will need to be stirred in a few times depending how fast you drink the cleanse. The more you add of the pepper the more your mouth and throat will heat up and your nose will drain. This is good for some people and uncomfortable for others. Whatever type of cleansing experience you want you can dictate. I drink my cleanses in about 10 minutes which makes my stomach feel like it is heating up! I did a light workout and stretching.
Day 2:
Drank cleanse both in morning and evening. Walked the treadmill at speed 3.5 and incline 3.5 for a mile and stretched.
Day 3:
Cleansed and did not work out. Noticed that the cleanse felt more effective after breakfast because it helped me more easily digest my food.** I had no stomach discomfort all day what-so-ever! I felt a little down in energy but it could be because it was a cold, gloomy day in the Northwest. I did not work out this day.
Day 4:
Small portions were hard today. But I dropped 2 pounds (which was not a goal just a nice surprise). Medium workout with lots of stretching today. Smoothies made with super-food as meals twice this day. Also, my skin is feeling and appearing healthier on my face.
Day 5:
No citrus sores in my mouth though I do consume a lot of citrus foods in my regular diet. I feel cleaner inside and have now started drinking both of my cleanses after meals. No workout today.
Day 6:
Warning! Do not drink this cleanse right before bedtime! 2.3 pounds down.
Day 7:
I realized today that it might not be a bad idea to do this cleanse weekly or even to add it to my regular diet. I was feeling good and energy was up. Stretching and walking as my work out today.
Conclusion:
At the end of the week I lost 2.8 pounds. I will probably do the cleanse again. I realized drinking light, hot drinks after eating helps with digestion. Also I felt good about what I had achieved! I'm happy to recommend this cleanse to you.
